About Trip Centre
Good Trips begin long before departure.
A well-prepared outdoor experience depends on more than a packing list. It depends on practical knowledge, clear decisions and people who understand what the Trip requires.
Trip Centre exists to help outdoor organizations put that knowledge to work.

The most important preparation knowledge is often the hardest to reuse.
Outdoor organizations build knowledge over years. It lives in experienced staff, local advice, equipment practices, packing lists, program handbooks and the routines people follow before a group leaves.
That knowledge is valuable, but it can be difficult to deliver consistently. Customers leave the store and continue preparing on their own. Families receive detailed information but still need help understanding what applies. New Trip Directors often depend on experienced staff to know what must happen next.
Trip Centre gives that knowledge a practical structure so it can support the next customer, family or Trip.

Founder story
Trip Centre started with firsthand experience.
Before building Trip Centre, I worked as a white-water canoe guide. I learned that much of what makes a Trip successful happens before anyone puts a boat in the water.
The group needs the right equipment. Food has to match the number of people and days. Reservations, transportation and other details need to be handled. Everyone needs to understand what they are responsible for.
Experienced people carry much of that knowledge naturally. The challenge is making it clear and useful for everyone else.
I have also spent my career building websites and digital products for organizations. Trip Centre brings those two parts of my background together: understanding outdoor preparation and building practical tools that help people do real work.

Preparation foundation
Preparation should begin with a dependable foundation.
A customer, family or Trip Director should not have to invent the preparation process from an empty page. Trip Centre starts with reusable knowledge about supported outdoor activities.
Organizations can add their own requirements, guidance, products, rentals, equipment and practices. Each Trip or program can then adapt that foundation to its actual context.
This creates consistency without making the experience generic.
Focused workflows
Different responsibilities deserve different experiences.
An Outfitter customer preparing for a personal Trip has different needs from a family packing for Camp. A Trip Director preparing equipment, Food and Logistics has another job entirely.
Trip Centre allows those experiences to share useful preparation knowledge without forcing everyone into the same workflow.
That principle guides the product
- Share knowledge where it helps
- Separate workflows where the responsibilities differ
- Keep each experience focused on the work in front of the person using it
Technology should support the relationship, not take it over.
Customers already trust their Outfitter. Families already look to their Camp for guidance. Trip Directors already rely on the knowledge their Camp has developed.
Trip Centre works behind those relationships. The organization remains visible through its guidance, brand, products, rentals, equipment and practices. Participants can receive the help they need without becoming part of a separate Trip Centre marketing journey.
The product succeeds when the organization becomes more useful to the people it already serves.
Audiences
Built for Outfitters and Camps.
For Outfitters
For Outfitters, Trip Centre makes preparation an extension of service. Team knowledge becomes practical next steps for the customer, and the relationship continues after they leave the store.
For Camps
Trip Centre helps Camps prepare families and gives Trip Directors a practical operating path for Packout, Inventory, Food, Logistics, departure and equipment return.
Product focus
Trip Centre focuses on preparation.
Trip Centre does not try to manage every part of an outdoor organization. It focuses on the work between deciding to go and being ready to leave.
The goal is not to make preparation feel technical. It is to make good preparation easier to repeat.
That means building a product that
- Preserves practical knowledge
- Reduces repeated preparation work
- Gives people clear guidance
- Helps staff see what still needs attention
- Fits alongside the systems an organization already uses
- Remains understandable as it grows
